# Concept of Probability

Probability is the measure of uncertainty of occurrence of an event.

Events
An event is some specific outcome of an experiment. An event is a subset of the sample space. An outcome of a trail is called Sample Point.
An event is denoted by a capital letter e.g. A, B, C, etc.
Single Die:
When a single die is rolled, following events may occur:
The number on the face of the die is even.
A = {2,4,6}
The number on the face of the die is odd.
B = {1,3,5}
The number on the face of the die is a prime.
C = {1,2,3,5}
The number on the face of the die is 5.
D = {5}
The number on the face of the die is less than 5.
E = {1,2,3,4}
The number on the face of the die is greater than 2.
F = {2,3,4,5,6}
The number on the face of the die is divisible by 3.
G = {3,6}
The number on the face of the die is factor of 4.
H = {1,2,4}
TWO Dice:
When two dice are rolled, following events may occur:
The sum of faces is 7.
A = {(1,6), (2,5), (3,4), (4,3), (5,2), (6,1}
The sum of faces is 10 or more (at least 10).
B = {(4,6), (5,5), (5,6), (6,4), (6,5), (6,6)}
The sum of faces is 5 or less (at most 5).
C = {(1,1), (1,2), (1,3), (1,4), (2,1), (2,2), (2,3), (3,1), (3,2), (4,1)}
The sum of faces is less than 5.
D = {(1,1), (1,2), (1,3), (1,4), (2,1), (2,2), (3,1)}
The sum of faces is less than 5.
E = { (1,2),(1,4),(1,6),(2,1),(2,3),(2,5),(3,2),(3,4),(3,6)
(4,1),(4,3),(4,5),(5,2),(5,4),(5,6),(6,1),(6,3),(6,5) }
The product of faces is 6.
F = {(1,6), (2,3), (3,2), (6,1)}
Both faces are the same
G = {(1,1), (2,2), (3,3), (4,4), (5,5), (6,6)}
The product of faces is divisible by 4.
